The NFMC is dedicated to music education and promotion of creative and performing arts in America and to finding and fostering young musical talent.  Since its founding in 1898, the NFMC has grown into one of the world’s largest music organizations comprised of Junior, Student (Collegiate) and Senior (Adult) clubs and individual members. Each year, it offers more than three quarters of a million dollars in state and national competitions, including four $20,000 biennial Young Artist awards, and a $20,000 Ellis Award for Duo-Pianists. Additionally, each of the Young Artist awards includes two years of performance bookings to help launch promising musical careers.
